TeaLa Goes International! Promotes the Development of Taiwanese Semiconductor Enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe!

On May 7th, 2024, a seminar aimed at attracting investment from Taiwanese semiconductor companies was successfully held at the National Taiwan University Hospital International Convention Center. The event, which drew entrepreneurs, investors, and experts from Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, aimed to foster cooperation and exchange in the semiconductor sector, explore new trends in semiconductor development, and open broader international markets and opportunities. The goal is to create new collaborative opportunities in the semiconductor industry.

In her opening speech, Ambassador Sharon Wu from the Representative Office in Poland pointed out the perfect timing of this event, highlighting Poland's strong commitment to attracting Taiwanese semiconductor supply chain enterprises to collaborate with Polish businesses. The Taiwanese government is committed to assisting Taiwanese businesses in global expansion, promoting economic and trade cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries, and has set up a Central and Eastern European Investment and Financing Fund to deepen trade and industry connections between Taiwanese businesses and countries like Poland. Ambassador Wu emphasized that Taiwan and Poland are natural partners sharing common values and expressed her intent to work closely with Poland to build a resilient semiconductor supply chain.

Cyryl Kozaczewski, the Director of the Polish Office in Taipei, expressed that as a key economic player in Central Europe, Poland offers Taiwanese semiconductor enterprises limitless opportunities in development due to its abundant technical talent and excellent geographical position.

On behalf of TeaLa, Secretary General Allen Zheng presented a commemorative ceramic plate in the shape of Taiwan to Cyryl Kozaczewski, Director of the Polish Office in Taipei.

Managing Director Marcin of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency provided an overview of the current state and future prospects of Poland's semiconductor industry, highlighting numerous investment cooperation opportunities. He also emphasized Poland's strengths in semiconductor manufacturing, design, packaging testing, and chemical sectors, alongside governmental support policies for the semiconductor industry.

Secretary General Allen Zheng of TeaLa remarked that Poland holds a key economic position in Central and Eastern Europe with leading population and land advantages, developed industries, especially in automotive, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor packaging, testing, and chemicals. As global economies push for shorter supply chains, Taiwanese businesses must seize this opportunity. The dynamic ecosystem of numerous small and medium-sized Taiwanese semiconductor enterprises should form industry alliances to collaborate internationally and create a shared vision for industry development.
