On the morning of May 30, CEO Edison Chen was invited to represent TeaLa at the "Asia-Silicon Valley Global Innovation Deployment Forum" organized by the Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency (ASVDA) on the first day of this year's InnoVEX. The forum invited Paul Lee, Executive Director of Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency (ASVDA), Edison Chen, CEO of TeaLa, Zhang Zhi-qiang, Chairman and CEO of Glory Technology, and Mitch Yang, Managing Partner of Taiwania Capital, to deliver keynote speeches on the development paths of Taiwan's eastward, westward, and southward strategies. They discussed policy aspects, overseas market characteristics, cross-border practical cooperation experiences, and international funding support for startups. The session was moderated by Chuen Huei Hung, Senior Industry Advisor and Director of the MIC at the Institute for Information Industry, in the form of an expert panel discussion, allowing startups and businesses to understand the differences in market demands in different regions and identify the key success factors for cross-border collaboration.
CEO Edison Chen stated, "Taiwan needs to globalize and must form an industrial fleet to share new industry models for entering the US market. He further mentioned issues related to net-zero emissions, including biofuels, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), food carbon footprint, and quantified supply chain management, all of which have significant commercial value. He welcomed everyone to establish a presence in the US and lead Taiwan towards global success."
Executive Director Paul Lee of the ASVDA stated, "Since its launch in 2016, the Asia-Silicon Valley Project has focused on promoting the development of the IoT industry and building a sound innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. This has led to the IoT industry's value in Taiwan surpassing 2 trillion NTD in 2022, laying a solid foundation for the development and application of the IoT industry in Taiwan, including industries such as smart machinery, healthcare, and green energy. In recent years, rapid advancements in digital technologies such as AI and 5G have expanded the scope of IoT applications, contributing to the continuous development of various innovative services for startups and businesses. Recent popular cases, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, have allowed the general public to experience the practicality of AI technology, further accelerating the promotion of AIoT innovation and application opportunities."
In summary, Taiwan's trend towards internationalization in the industrial sector is growing. TeaLa members are welcome to contact the Secretariat for any international collaboration-related matters. We look forward to everyone's joint efforts in advancing towards the world under the New Eastward Strategy.
