The Taiwan Eastbound Alliance - Landing America (TeaLa), Global Taiwanese Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, and the USC (University of Southern California) Alumni Club of Taiwan joined forces to hold an elite gathering on September 2, 2023, at the Caesar Park Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. This event aimed to bring together the energies of industry, academia, and research from Taiwan and the United States, inspiring innovative thinking and solidifying the important mission of the Eastbound Alliance in assisting Taiwanese companies in expanding into international markets. It also celebrated the remarkable contributions of the Global Taiwanese Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, and the USC (University of Southern California) Alumni Club of Taiwan, which have gathered many outstanding Taiwanese talents.
This banquet attracted outstanding members from various industries within the three organizations to discuss the challenges of internationalization and digitization facing Taiwanese companies, as well as the key factors for success. In particular, Mr. CH Cho, the CEO of the Institute for Information Industry, delivered an insightful speech on "Digital Transformation - Difficult Challenges That Must Be Faced," delving into the significant challenges, viable strategies, and endless opportunities brought about by digital transformation. Mr. Edison Chen, the CEO of TeaLa, shared many of the alliance's concepts and actions, highlighting the dedication and determination to assist Taiwanese companies in achieving internationalization. His insights provided valuable inspiration to the attendees.
The collaborative planning of this cross-organizational exchange event between the three organizations holds much significance. Beyond just facilitating cross-disciplinary interactions, it enabled individuals from various generations and diverse industry backgrounds to come together, quickly forging more connections and forming strong friendships. As everyone enjoyed delicious food and engaged in open idea-sharing, we are confident that this event will remain a cherished memory for all who attended.
